1-4 I think are the way to go but item 5 seems sketchy to me and honestly if two teams are still tied after the first 4 items then just flip a coin.
 
Wonder why 'Highest Ranked Team' isn't a criteria, somewhere down the list
I don't think they want to get into a TCU vs Baylor type situation where Baylor beat TCU but TCU was higher ranked. There could be a case where the teams didn't play and were ranked like 9 & 10 and then ranking would just be subjective.

I like the criteria but that sports analytics thing is weird to me but the chances of getting that far are slim.

I think the fear of assignation would be strong enough to keep people from opting out.
