Nebraska and whichever “I” school it is this week are playing at 3:30?
 
Its where they put ALL the Saturday scrub games these days.

Another issue is Game Day went to Jackson State over this matchup... :dhd: . I think ESPN maybe bitter about losing B1G contract.

Yes but that weekend is unique (Thanksgiving weekend).

Remember OU and Texas left Big12 because all of the Noon kickoffs. Keep this up and SEC may start grabbing B1G teams. Ohio State flirted with SEC back in 2020.

Nope, 3:30/2:30 is the best time slot. This is why Oklahoma made such a big fuss about the Nebraska series being at noon. They wanted the 3:30 time slot.

The 3:30 time slot goes up against the sec cbs. Noon doesn’t. TV-wise, it’s smart. I agree 3:30 is the best time personally. But I’m not a tv exec looking to make money off of ratings.

Go read the complaints about Oklahoma and Texas about leaving the Big12. They were primarily complaining about getting the noon time slot. It isn't the best spot. If it was, then you wouldn't have these two programs talking about it as a reason to jump to the SEC.

Their competition this week at 2:30 is Florida-Georgia which will likely be a blow-out. 3:30 would have worked well for this matchup.

It wasn't thanksgiving weekend until 2009 when B1G added the bye week. Before that, it was always the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Ohio State isnt leaving the B1G for the SEC. Only reason why it was even mentioned at all (and then just by some rumors that were never substantiated) was bc of the dumb way B1G handled Covid

Florida Georgia would still pull viewers away from this game.

Oklahoma and Texas are primarily leaving because they are gonna make a shit ton more money. Regardless of what time they kickoff. The powers that be wouldn’t give a shit if they had noon kickoffs every week if they made the money they are about to make in the sec.
 
For some reason FOX loves this time slot and so does the B1G. They've always put teams on at this time. If Pam Ward worked for FOX guarantee she would be calling this game.
