Names that I am hearing thus far:
Kerry Coombs (current interim)
Tom Herman
Matt Campbell
Jesse Minter (Current Michigan DC/His father was HC in 90's)
Gino Guidugli (Current OC)
 
Coombs would be the worst choice IMO. He's good when he is exclusively doing what he does best (just a CB coach) but he'd be a disaster as a HC. We saw how well it went when he tried being DC at Ohio State

He was awful. Cincinnati would be setting themselves back quite a bit if they made him the permanent HC.

If they are going to go internal they should go with Guidugli, that's still a big risk though considering hes only even been a Coordinator for 1 year.

Agreed. He seems to be a favorite of players, but limited experience
 
Didn't Urban Meyer go to school there? Could be a big get lol

Didn't Herman do well at Houston? I think he's kick as at UC but I can see why he rubs ppl the wrong way

He seems like a headache and loose cannon. His record at TX was good. There are conflicting reports on whether he is interested
 
I could see Matt Campbell taking the job if they pursue him.
 
Brian Hartline also being mentioned. Ohio State better not let that man go
 
No idea who yall gonna get but it better be someone who can put a high powered offense on the field with UC headed into the Big12.
Been seeing Alex Golesh as a candidate and that WOULD make some sense.

I'm hoping Day takes the CEO approach and gives up play calling duties. Promote Hartline to coordinator and give him a hefty raise.
