MVC probably the best Mid Major league at this point. Maybe even better than the AAC, especially if they get around to adding Murray St.

Arch Madness just got a hell of lot better and more intriguing.

Huge addition honestly. If they can add Murray they'll ne right on level with those fringe major leagues like the A10 or AAC. Maybe even better

Yeah, I love the addition. There were rumors that the A-10 was going after Belmont, so for the MVC to get them that's huge. MVC will be really interesting next year. Belmont and Loyola appear to be tournament teams. And teams like Drake and Missouri State should still be solid, and UNI should be much improved. Hopefully Murray State gets added. It'll be like it was when the had Creighton and Wichita State, which was a fun league.

Nice. Welcome addition.

Belmont keeps upgrading. The only thing that sucks is that Belmont can't bring their biggest rival along with them (Lipscomb). Lipscomb is also getting better as a program.

MVC is still missing Creighton and Wichita State. Wichita State may want to go back to the MVC now that the AAC seems to be losing some of its powers like Cincinnati and UCONN. (Granted AAC still has Memphis, Tulsa, Wichita State, and Temple).

Good point. I think Wichita State would certainly consider going to the MVC now. AAC is about to lose Cincy and Houston. If they lose Memphis to the Big 12 eventually, I think Wichita would definitely want to go back.

i legit forgot that Marshall is no longer the coach there. either way, WSU has deep pockets that your typical mid-major doesn't have. AAC hoops is pretty dead, tbh.

The Ohio Valley's starting to look like a scrapyard.

It has always been a smaller league. It just had recent success with the rise of former programs like MTSU, Western Kentucky and soon-to-be former programs Murray State and Belmont.

Belmont wasn't in the OVC that long, they were in the Atlantic Sun for far longer.

Leaving the MVC was a hasty decision for them.

Haven't they always been the best mid-major?

Well, I guess now the AAC really is a mid major so they may compete for that title. I guess the A-10 too.
