We all can agree that Saban is the greatest coach in our time. Recruiting, check, program head, check.

But I think he is a relatively weak game coach. Who do you think is the best game coach?

Kiffin would be up there but he has become addicted to analytics and is making dumb calls that is costing games.

Sark has potential as he called a near-perfect game against Alabama even with a 2nd string QB. Honestly with a little better execution on the players part Texas wins.

Dave Clawson has done some pretty incredible things at Wake.

The game has changed and younger coaches are pushing norms by going for it on 4th, getting creative with special teams and we are starting to see some interesting things on defense like linemen not in a 3 point stance. Guys that embrace these types of things successfully will be the next great ones.

That guy from Boise St a number of years ago. He seemed to have lost some of that on the trip to Washington, tho.

Dining into the old G5 group, I'd go with Patterson at TCU before the move to P5. Also, Coach Lance at Kansas.Too bad it took him so long to get some national eyes on him.
