Still some playoff berths to be had this week. Going with Niners/Rams with honorable mention to Steelers/Ravens.

Falcons-Saints is the only worth while rivalry in the NFC. Only other interesting rivalries in the NFL are all in the AFC West

Chargers/Raiders is potentially for the last playoff spot in the AFC. Will be goddamn hilarious if somehow the Colts manage to lose to Jacksonville, though. Both teams would make it with a tie, so they could just legit kneel it out and punt it every series.

Lulz.

This is the SNF game. Come on, Jacksonville, give me chaos.

Agree on Niners/Rams, since that's going to impact several teams' playoff positioning. And the Niners have the extra motivation to win and get in.

Chargers/Raiders is basically a win & in game, which got it the Sunday Night spot, but it doesn't really affect anybody else's seeding.

Would that eliminate Pittsburgh if they both tie, though? They could all wind up 9-7-1

According to the E$PN playoff machine, if the Colts lose and the Raiders and Chargers tie, they would both be playoff teams, and Pittsburgh would be out, even if the Steelers win.

Dallas was moved to Saturday just because it can't affect hardly anything for playoff matchups. That to me is why it is the most interesting.

You done smoked yourself stupid, son. No one cares about Falcons-Saints except their fanbases. All of the NFCE rivalries far outpace the Falcons-Saints. Dallas alone is enough to get more national eyeballs than the Falcons-Saints.

NFL just doesn’t do rivalries very well. When a fan of an NFL team poisons some trees sacred to their rival’s fanbase, let me know
When there is an entire genre of books and movies about poisoning trees or birds fighting the pope...let me know.

The local fan bases are what makes a rivalry. Falcons-Saints has more of a college rivalry vibe the rest of the NFL just can’t match. I literally have zero interest in any NFCE matchup. Doesn’t move the needle at all

The Falcons are playing the Saints this week?

Well that zero interest is what the rest of the world cares about the Falcons and Saints, so you get it. Hell, there are more people in New Orleans that are Dallas fans than Saints fans. :dhd:

I’ve been to New Orleans. Gonna call BS on that one. Atlanta is a baseball and college football market though.
