Best neighborhood bar in the world?

Well he' asking for the "best," and that's going to depend on whether it's YOUR neighborhood bar or not

Always nice looking around the bar and thinking, man these people are here all the time only to realize it means you're also there every day.

Before kids, I would very regularly do the happy hour thing at my local bar. It was nice to chat with friends, decompress and play some pool after work.

Now, that almost never happens - with three kids in sports/etc, it's rare that we don't have at least one event weeknights and we often have multiple. Busy time.

all good...we had our thing and are still friends today...she no longer tends bar...but her husband isn't a big fan of me I don't think

Our kids are growed up now but we're on the hook for a lot of college tuition, so still no regular drinking out for us. By the time we get debt-free again we'll be on a fixed income and probably too old to drink frequently.
