As for the actresses', to be honest none of those performances stick out to me from that list.

Louis Gossett Jr. - Enemy Mine
Val Kilmer - Tombstone
Willem Dafoe - Platoon
 
This may take some time, but that Christopher Waltz choice from Inglorious Basterds is an incredible choice so that will like be on the list.
 
Don't know about ranking them, but here are three not yet picked.

* Robin Williams - Good Will Hunting (my 2nd favorite movie)
* JK Simmons - Whiplash. He was excellent.
* Viola Davis - Fences. Fucking great movie.
 
Here are three that didn't win it, but arguably could have...

Jack Nicholson - A Few Good Men
Edward Norton - Primal Fear
Toni Collette - Hereditary (an argument could be made that she was a lead, but I am putting her as supporting. Is there a criteria for that lol?)

Also... Chazz Palminteri - A Bronx Tale
