Brian Flores Is In Full Meltdown Mode
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/02/01/brian-flores-sues-nfl-dolphins-giants-broncos-alleges-racist-hiring-policies/ Suing the NFL and all 32 teams. Yikes.hooplanation.com
I like two different threads on this. One about Flores killing his career, this is about Bill accidentally outing the Rooney rule.
Yeah, this looks bad on Bill. Like he knew a hire was already made but a sham was being done anyways.Nothing to do w Bill anyway. DOA.

It might have been an honest mistake, but the issue will be the timing. If he texted that and then the excuse he heard it was about Daboll BEFORE the interview with Flores then that proves a hire was already made and communicated before the Rooney rule interview was done.Oh interesting. I took it like it was an honest mistake - like he thought Flores really got the job. I’ll have to read it again.

Mixing up your Brians now warrants social persecution? My Mom used to call me by my Uncle Brian's name. I shall cancel her.Oh interesting. I took it like it was an honest mistake - like he thought Flores really got the job. I’ll have to read it again.
That’s how I read it. BB got a text about Daboll getting the job, thinking it was about Flores. He congratulated Flores by mistake and then the Giants interview him (after they had already hired Daboll). If so, it doesn’t really reflect poorly on BB but does shine a light on what everyone already knew about the Rooney Rule.It might have been an honest mistake, but the issue will be the timing. Everyone knows the Rooney rule is a joke, but couldn't prove it. This has the potential to prove it.
haha. Nah the Brians isn't the issue, the issue is the skirting of the Rooney rule. Too bad he didn't just sue Mara. Man, fuck that Mara guy. Such a piece of shit.Mixing up your Brians now warrants social persecution? My Mom used to call me by my Uncle Brian's name. I shall cancel her.
True, it isn't an indictment of Bill other than how many other times over his career has he seen this go on and not said anything. That applies to all NFL employees though. That’s how I read it. Yeah, not sure you can sue somebody for following a rule but not "whole-heartedly". But yes, fuck the Giants, their owners, their fans, and mostly Eli Manning.haha. I’m not sure you can either. But, if it drags this sham of a process into the light definitively and forces the league to do better with it that might be considered a win too.Yeah, not sure you can sue somebody for following a rule but not "whole-heartedly". Worked for Ronald Reaganwalk this back without making BB out to be a decrepit, dementia laden old fart.
