Breaking News: Boise st to suck

they've been very meh the last four years

Brokeass program energy.

Regardless of one's financial status, the idea that someone should have to work for something is ridiculous. We should all be entitled to welfare, entitlements and handouts. Loyalty is way over rated too. And one more thing: coaches and university officials with their worn out requirements for players needing to attend class and imitate what regular students (who have little to no athletic ability whatsoever) have to do to stay in school, deserve to be ridiculed. For Gawd's sake, this is 2024, not 1954.

You are ready for the SEC.

"He wants players to work to earn it."

That's so old school. That dog won't hunt nowadays.

Besides, he needs to remember one of the old quotes. "He earned his money the old fashioned way. He inherited it."

We sucked the last three years under Avalos anyway. He’s not head coaching material. Not even close. Found that out the hard way. I like this kid though. I love his energy and hard working approach. He’s already recruiting well despite this statement and the players we have will run through a wall for him. I expect him to have success.

I don’t have a problem with the statement. As a Group of 5, we don’t have much money to offer anyway. Not like that’s some big secret. At least he’s being transparent about it.

All of you think of this in a slightly skewed way.
saying they cant make ANY money from NIL is not the same as the school wont pay them.
so a freshman cant even make their own deals outside of whatever collective they have.
im assuming their 1 allowance is the EA money.

Your statement is correct but lets be honest 99.7 of these kids aren't making any NIL deal that isn't from a collective of negotiated by the school on their behalf. Sponsors aren't lining up to get money to unproven kids.

It is a good strategy though. If you are a G5 school then you should want kids to come in and be hungry to get that NIL money when you transfer to a bigger school.

Well said. and the use of green font is absolutely NOT needed.

100% true. I was talking with a fellow Miner alumni recently. Be still lives in EP and follows our alma mater a lot closer than I do.

Anyhoo, the conversation was, since we have limited NIL money, we should concentrate it and try to land some of of the rare birds, aka DL. We couldn’t come up with many decent ones in recent memory.
