Jack Swarbrick has been in ongoing discussions with Urban Meyer over the past couple weeks to gauge his interest in returning to Notre Dame where he was an assistant from 1996-2000. Meyer was initially hesitant to engage, but Swarbrick believes he's made some real traction with Meyer lately. The current sentiment within the dept is that Meyer will ultimately accept the job, but will need some time to work through an exit with his current situation in Jacksonville.
