I'm getting ready to plant a bunch of bulbs....

I've done this before but haven't had great success....

It seems I may be planting the bulbs too deep and find they don't bloom.

Any tricks or suggestions would be appreciated.

What zone are you in? Seems way too early for bulbs. Ground has to be cool so they don’t start trying to push up too early. They think it’s spring if the ground is too warm.

What kind of bulbs?

If it’s tulips, they’re prolly just getting eaten by moles and voles. I don’t even bother aside from in pots.

And what mox said.

I'm not sure what zone maybe 3 or 4, but I wasn't going to plant them for another four to six weeks from now.

Just prepping an area....clearing out old soil and weeds.

Going to introduce new soil as a way to reduce weeds.

Also thinking about mulch to keep weeds from growing.

It depends on what type of flowers you're talking about. Some need to be deeper than others. Some need certain types of soil. Some need to be placed in the hole a specific way or they won't grow. There should be instructions on the bag/box that should tell you most of what you need
