So the semi finals next week are Thursday and Friday to avoid competing with the nfl playoff on Saturday. I think nfl playoff games that are on streaming devices or peacock or something.

CFB should’ve grown a pair and put both games on Saturday. Even if they were worried about competition with the nfl they could’ve put their games within time slots that would either avoid the nfl game or the CFB game second half would be on during the first half of the nfl game.

Seriously, CFB would own the day. No need for the CFB semis to fear the first round of the NFL playoffs. By the playoffs everyone’s fantasy football teams seasons are over so interest diminishes greatly.

Instead we’re stuck with a Thursday and Friday night game?

The NFL is king. They average like 35-40 million viewers for playoff games, which is roughly 2-3 times the amount that the CFP games have averaged.

Obviously if Oregon was still in -- the NFL would have switched the games to Thursday and Friday, as Oregon would have stolen all the viewers from the NFL.

Money talks, BS walks.

Networks are not going to try to compete with the most watched sporting events in the history of television because this isn't about sports. It's about $$$$$.

I'd rather watch NFL over college anyday. I love football. The NFL has been doing it right for many years as far a teams playing for wild cards & playoff seeding. This weekends NFL games are pretty much playoff games themselves.

College football & the NIL have a lot to learn & process to get to the NFL's level of play. Gonna need contracts & salary caps.

I'm a college over NFL guy but I will readily admit that NFL is king when it comes to viewers.

Yeah, in the NFL just does it right. There’s no question who should be in the playoffs. Of course there are only 32 teams in the NFL,which definitely simplify things.

But right now, the NIL is killing college football IMO. I mean, I want the kids to make some money but there’s got to be something better than what they’re doing now.

College football will go to super conferences before too much longer. Or division 1 CFB will need to go to a larger format playoff like Div 2.

Only way I’d watch a CFB playoff game over an NFL playoff game would be UGA is playing in the CFB playoff game. I love college football, but the NFL playoffs are the best sports have to offer, and I say this as a guy who’s NFL team hasn’t made the playoffs in 6 years and has the biggest choke in Super Bowl history

There are certain college football rivalry games that are must watch TV for me. The playoff games I will almost always watch at least a little bit of each one.

NFL i never miss a playoff game.

I gotta hand it to you OD. This might actually top your meltdown over Oregon losing.

Well done.

I was a college > pro guy for a long time. Portal and NIL has flipped that.
That to go with these lame ass mega conferences. I still love the college game, but despite my CFB team being a current top program and my NFL team being a laughingstock, I prefer the NFL game these days.

Also, UGA plays GT at the Falcons stadium next season and that’s just wrong.
