I was just about to post this.

Something needs to be done as this is out of control. I'm for NIL to a degree but they should be locked in and under contract at that point if they take money. This free agency, with no salary cap and no movement restrictions, is ridiculous.
 
Shit if I was a billionaire, and knowing he isn't making at least 400K, I'd offer him 450K to come suit up for the Gophers next season.

On a serious note, I do think this initial wave of huge sums of NIL money won't be the norm in the next 5-7 years.

Also, some kids could be in for a ride awakening. Billionaires don't become that without fucking someone over, throughout the course of their life. They'll have no problem doing that to some 20 year old.

This is new and exciting for the money guys right now but eventually that excitement is going to die down especially when they realize the results aren’t always there.

Some of these guys that are giving big bucks are going to start to want to have more of a say in how things are run also and we know how well that works.

We’ll see a 30 for 30 in five years and it will be interesting.
