SEC plays the least amount and they also play some teams that are not Division I. I think that is way the SEC always has trouble in the playoffs.
The SEC’s conference slate is so difficult they don’t need to play other P5s.

That's because they play fewer SEC conference games.They all played a P5 OOC last year and this year. Michigan, not so much.
