morning

volleyball regular season is done and my team barely held on to the last playoff spot. Sand is starting to get chilly at night so I need to get playoffs done as quickly as possible

tonight is our last match of the golf season...we had first for a long ass time but then had a 5 week run where we got a total of 5 pts. Not sure what happened there.

the sand actually doesn't get too hot in the summer...but those early fall nights, it is downright cold.

Morning all

Was supposed to have HH with friend I used to work with, they fell asleep and didn't show

So, not going to bother having a HH with that person again. Not a huge deal, but it's really annoying and I don't like time being wasted
 
Kiddo walked off the practice field last night carrying a sledgehammer given to him by the coaches for having the biggest hit of game 2 (it was a block during a WR screen TD).

Gets his name and number painted on it and gets to lead the team out of the tunnel this Saturday in game 3 carrying it.

I have a buddy who would do this all the time. He would make plans, I’d be sitting in the parking lot of a bar and he would text me saying he wasn’t going to make it.

We would be at the bar and he would disappear. I would get a text saying he was in the car and wanted to go. Other times he would just leave the bar all together and text me saying the left.

I got used to it after awhile. One time he got a chemical face peel and ended up looking like a burn victim. We had plans to meet up at the bar that night on a double date and he no showed because of how red his face was.

So he makes a make up date w the girl he stood up. Texts her that he’s on his way then decides he’s not going to go, turns around and goes home. Doesn’t let her know lol

She left this guy two of the funniest, most irate phone messages I ever heard.

Turns out I think he was incredibly insecure and had a really bad habit of judging himself.

That was my reaction too.

Nicest guy in the world, super insecure. Gets chemical face peels, got a hair transplant, face lift and who knows what else.

Great gym buddy though.

I mean, I appreciate a good Irish Goodbye but when it requires you to leave too..that sucks

We ran will a rather large crew back then so there was usually someone to catch a ride with, but yeah. He was such a good buddy in every other way though so it was never enough to really get mad about.
