Like you said, he was likely more wearing his welcome out than performance. They guy can hit but he's soft
 
Imagine still supporting a team that has LeBron James for an owner. Just fucking lol at trading Mookie and Devers and knowing a dude with a third grade education who calls your city racist all the time writes the checks.

I saw it coming. he started bitching in the offseason when Bregman was brought in. Bregman is an upgrade in the field and at the plate. So when Devers started crying about moving they said he could be a full time DH. Then when an injury came up he still refused to move to 1B.

At taht point BOS has to get rid of him. I don't know why fans are upset, they were able to get rid of the entire albatross contract. I get that Devers is still pretty young, but he's also an all or nothing strikeout machine who is now hitting in a harder park.

He’s been one of the most productive hitters in the game, it’s not an albatross contract. He probably won’t like hitting in San Fran as much, but he’ll still be a productive bat
