Now, I think it’s pretty unlikely the record gets broken in back to back seasons by two different franchises, but there’s a few reasons why I think the Rockies have a shot.
1. The White Sox were two games better than the Rockies are through 34 games
2. The Rockies don’t have starting pitchers like Crochet and Fedde that gives them a chance, all of their starters suck
3. The Rockies can’t even score runs in Coors Field, their offense is every bit as bad as the White Sox was last season, and their outfield defense is terrible, which isn’t good when half your games are played in the second biggest OF by square footage in the majors.
