Do you agree with adding the DH to the NL?

Hmmm?

Knew it was coming. Didn’t really mind it in 2020. The NL and little league are pretty well the only places where pitchers still hit.

Not overly thrilled about it, but I’m still gonna watch and attend games

I would have agreed with the AL having the pitcher bat. I wanted both leagues to be the same.

This is exactly me. I would rather the AL dropped the DH. But we know that was never happening.

Ultimately I don’t care as much for DH from a strategy perspective….but the misalignment between the leagues has been old and dumb for a long time.

So, bring it on….

I guess roided-out freaks who can still hit but can’t field a position need love too

DH is 1000x better. I don't want to watch a pitcher strikeout 95 out of 100 times and not even give a shit while they are up there. Which is the majority of pitchers in the league. Even the "good" hitting pitchers are terrible hitters.

A well-placed sac bunt by a pitcher is 1000x more enjoyable than watching some old fat fuck who can't play a position strike out trying to launch a ball into the stands.

I wouldn't mind this if the average pitcher could actually put down a sac bunt. But most pitchers don't even practice bunting, because the teams don't care about it.

Those teams need to get new managers, then. ...Ship their asses to the AL where they belong.

Or just put out a product that the majority of people would rather see. Especially when the game is hurting for viewers.

And a pitcher probably only averages a sac bunt opportunity MAYBE once a game. Thats still another 2-3 at bats a game we have to watch a pitcher watch three strikes go by.

NL teams practiced it.

Very few pitchers in the NL put any effort or time into their craft. And the ones that do, still fucking suck at it. Scherzer nearly bunted his own eye out. If I wanted to watch that shit every game, we could just pull any fat ass from the stands. And putting down 2-3 bunts down at the end of a half ass batting practice pregame does not count as practicing.

The game has changed too. Pitchers don’t hit in high school or college or the minors, many times NL pitchers are trying to hit for the first time since little league. You have to keep up with the times

I prefer no DL in either league but I think with the $$$ involved now you can't risk injury to pitchers and like chewy said a lot of these guys haven't picked up a bat in years.

And there lies the root problem... What exactly is the "product that the majority of people would rather see"? If you ask your average casual fan who doesn't know dick about baseball strategy or the intricacies of the game and just wants to go to a game to socialize, chug beer and cheer when points get added to the scoreboard, the DH is grand.
