reverse seared my first steak last night and it came out really good. I prob could have pulled it from the oven a little earlier, but I was happy with the result.

My temperature probe didn't want to cooperate though...might need to trash that thing.
 
It’s ESD. Gators going to finish at 60th or so. Very exciting.

I have a Thermapen

but I don't think I need a bluetooth probe

I might just need to push the one I have in further.

I don't do a lot of long duration cooks or smokes so I am not sure I need anything that fancy

I use it for almost everything. Steaks, chicken, turkey breast, pork chops, tenderloins...you name it.

Stick it in deep into the meat, into the juiciest part.

was walking the dog through the neighborhood yesterday and the Amazon van stopped and said to me "anyone ever tell you you look like Aaron Rodgers? I think you look more like the guy in the stands who looks like Aaron Rodgers in that meme though."
