Movie Elvis (2022)

Not sure about that choice in casting for Elvis. Tom Hanks in a fatsuit acting weird will probably earn him a trip to Epstein islan.... ehrm... I mean a Best Supporting Actor nod.

I joke, but Hanks is one of the better actors of the past couple generations.

It will be interesting to see how this movie does.

In his time he was the king but be died before I was born and I'm in my 40's. The Queen movie spoke to my generation because of an iconic scene from Wayne's World that introduced us to a less legendary act but one that in their time (again before I was born) was really awesome.

This looks fun and stylish but will it get a 25 year old into the theater? I don't know. If I were to guess though, this comes out 15 years ago and it is Walk the Line iconic. Now, we shall see.

I'll be 42 in March so he died before I was born but my parents have all his recordings and were big fans of Elvis. The trailer to this movie sent chills down my spine and I look forward to seeing it. I hope the film is an accurate portrayal of his life.

Saw the trailer before batman, thought the actor looked more like a young John Travolta than anything else.

Extended Trailer

In today's "metoo" and "cancel" culture, I won't be surprised if they use this movie as an excuse to come after Elvis' reputation and have him canceled for being a pedophile...

Elvis drove the girls crazy. They were ripping his clothes off just to get at him.

It was a very realistic story of his life and one of the best movies I've seen in quite awhile. No he didn't bang any 14 year old girls. You must be thinking of R Kelly.
Couldn’t have been a very realistic story if you came out not believing he banged kids.

Unless you want to think he and 14 year old Priscilla were just holding hands.
