ESD has begun ...

We are no. 3 on the composite and Rivals. We have a good chance of jumping to no. 1 on Rivals, but not sure we can make up the ground for no. 1 on the composite. Regardless, it's really interesting that UGA, Bama, and TAMU as the top 3 are miles ahead of 4-132. It's been that way for a few years, but even more so this year.

I follow this way too closely, but a few observations of ESD ... some things will change with NSD but most of the hay is in the barn:

- TAMU killed it ... combination of Dumbo and NIL. But they have a great class.

- Bama had the best class ever last year. Damned if they didn't do really well this year. Fuckers.

- Clemson is really hurting right now - Dabo is going to have to ditch the "awe shucks" bullshit and really treat this like the cutthroat business it is. Losing both coordinators, and promoting inexperienced position coaches/analysts is going to be one hell of an experiment.

- For all the poaching Riley did as he left, OU did an admirable job to get in the top 10. But, to my point above, at 10 they have 1 commit in the top 100 - TAMU 15/102, Bama 15/101, UGA 11/100 - that's 3 teams with 41 of the top 102 players. There is a ton of difference between 3rd and 10th.

- How the hell does that old fart Mack Brown keep recruiting like he is - 6-6, he lands 2 five stars, and the no. 8 class thus far.

- Interesting to see Deon and Pourtnoy backing away from the fact that there is a big NIL deal for Hunter. We know there was one. But, thinking that someone told them, STFU, you can't use NIL as a direct incentive to sign an LOI. Going on the internet with videos basically saying that is what you are doing isn't very smart.

- SEC, SEC, SEC - just kidding, but let this set in because it's kind of weird: TAMU, Bama and UGA will be 1, 2, 3 in some order. Then you start thinking UF, Auburn, LSU, right? Nah ... they are 16, 18 and 50th, LOL. Instead it's Kentucky, Mizzou, and UTjr at 11, 12, and 14. The fuck? Now, this will move some at this level over the next 2 months, but it's kind of upside down right now.

- More SEC - 12 of the top 25 classes are SEC. The two that aren't? UF at 50, Vandy at 37 ... that will change for sure, but as a Dore, it's fun to see. B1G has 5 of the top 25, with IU being the surprise. 8 of the top 30.

- Finally for all you B1G fans, I am not sure it ends this way, but this was crazy to see:
