I have a 2019 cherokee v6 AWD and love it. Great winter car.

About 4 months ago I noticed a bit of an exhaust leak. Stayed pretty chill so I didn't worry as I have so much shit going on right now.

3 weeks ago I made an emergency trip to Texas and back. The little leaker ain't so fucking little. Now I sound like an old time air show as I drive by.

I got up under to look and can't see shit. I have a skirt that obscures pretty much the whole underside. It is under the front seat area best I can tell.

Dropping it off Thursday morning to have them take a look and figure out a cure.

Fascinating.

Thank you for letting us know.

Maybe try changing into pants and take another look.

Maybe a 'flex pipe' ???

These guys bypassed the dealer and went to a muffler shop and got it welded up.

Go to a Mexican shop that says "MOFLES" outside in big block letters. Speak a little Spanish; get that shit fixed for 500 pesos.

I wouldn't go to a dealership but a non-chain muffler shop. Those guys have always been cool as hell for me. Usually will put it on a lift and take you under to show you what is going on.

My guess is you either got a hole in the muffler/cat or the donut came loose. If it is getting worse like you said then there is a hole somewhere. Depending on how far you drive its likely a rusted muffler, used to happen to one of my parents car. My mom would only drive about 2 miles to school each day so the muffler got hot enough to form condensation but not hot enough to burn it all off. So essentially 2x a day, every day, she would be creating water in the muffler that sat there. You would think Volvo would have stainless mufflers but no. Jeep probably doesn't either.

It is under cab so I am thinking not muffler. But hole somewhere

Yeah I looked at that before I called and got an appointment. I hope they don't try to sell me a 2k exhaust system and say hey for a couple a hundred....

I got an accent ready for the lines

There is a shop a few towns over that I can recommend but don't think you are local to me. I bought an exhaust kit for the mustang and it somehow missed a flaring step. Took it into this shop I'd never done business with and he took me out there and hit it with the flanger for no charge. I've sent at least 3 people his way since then, just a little two man shop that treats people right.

But the dealership is going to tell you that you need a whole new system. It's faster for them to replace it all than to take it apart, weld it up, and put it back. Better rates for them.

I won't take to dealership...ever
