The first one for me was "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", I think it was 1970.
Actually saw it at a drive-in Theater, so maybe 1971. It was awesome.

It was a great movie but had no idea it would do what it did.

I have a vague recollection of Mary Poppins.
That would have been around 1965.
Always hated that movie.

Aging myself here lol. This is the first movie I recall seeing in theaters as a kid.

Also, whatever happened to the movie trailer voice guy. Those guys need to make a comeback.

I can't remember that far back, but Mary Poppins would be a good candidate as well as Robinson Crusoe Family. Snow White and Song of the South have to be on that short list as well.

Remember standing line, on the sidewalk, waiting to get into this one.

I don't remember seeing Shawshank Redemption in the theaters.
I must have, but just can not recall it.

Saw Smokey and the Bandit at the Drive In Theater.
Right after it left regular Theaters.

Saw Unforgiven in the theaters

Saw the original Star Wars. 1976 or whatever
Had to wait 2 hours in line.

It was awesome
Star Wars is the first classic I can remember seeing live unless you count Disney cartoons but all of those were re-releases anyway.

Star Wars was 1977 and I was 5 years old. I can remember being terrified at Darth Vader boarding the rebel ship and wishing his breathing would stop. Loved it though.

Next would be Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1980 I think.

My folks took us to the drive-ins a lot when we were kids. At 13 years old I went with them to see Death Race 2000 even though I was shocked my mother was OK with going to that one. Best part is that the opening movie was "Big Bad Mama" which none of us knew anything about, but there I was about 1/2 way through the movie sitting in the back seat of my old man's Buick and I'm looking at Angie Dickinson's magnificent titties while Ma Racer is giving Pops the evil eye :laugh3:

I'm surprised my mother didn't force my old man to bail out when that happened, but we stayed for about a half hour or so of Death Race before Ma had had enough.

Star Wars was junior year of high school for me and I still remember that the special effects were stellar at the time. Now I watch it and I chuckle at how cheesy the effects are.

Non Disney Movie or Cartoon: "Paint Your Wagon". I think I was 9. Fell asleep. First real movie, was my best friends fathers loaded all us kids up into his '63 Chrysler Imperial to see "The French Connection" at the Drive In. I think there were about 8 of us piled into that Imperial.

Top Gun. I was 6 and that shit was awesome.

My youngest has a weird connection to this movie. October 2015 me and the ex are trying for no. 2. We have the sex for the first time when she is fertile Saturday afternoon and the plan is for we to watch college foo5bw
