morning

got on the talkie bike for the first time in a while last night since I got home from work too late to go for a run.

without my knowing, one of the songs on the ride was Heavy D "Now That We Found Love" which is what we were announced to at our wedding reception.

Did you do a Heavy D dance as you entered?

we did not...only played it for the first verse then went into our first dance

Missed opportunity. All you had to do was this little number (or one of many of his variations of shoulder & hip wiggle) as you strutted in.

It would've landed regardless of how smooth you are or the crowd present. If you're a totally awkward on the dance floor, it would've been memorably hilarious; especially if you lean into your awkwardness. If you're smooth, the crowd melts.

I think there was a whole dance that went with it though...lots of jumping side to side

The vast majority of people familiar with Heavy D aren't going to remember the exact dance he did in his video for that specific song, but they will remember the Heavy D style. Just gotta mimic the style. It would've killed.

I'm sure everyone had fun without it, though, and that's what matters...

So your wedding was just the end of Hitch?

I'm actually kinda surprised it didn't have a revival. Oftentimes, about two decades after an era fizzles, it revives in popularity. We've surpassed three decades, so the window has most likely closed on that one.

Sitting in the gym parking lot. Just watched this dude pull up, walk 100 feet to a bush where he grabbed something out of it then he got back in his car and left. 😳

Picking up his dropship of "clear" is going to the gym for some.

When my kids were in grade school, I only lived about 6 blocks away from school, so I'd oftentimes take my dogs for a walk to the school and walk back with my kid(s) after a spring or fall athletics practice. One day on the walk back, I witnessed a drug deal one block from my house. That was the day I started looking for houses for sale outside city limits.

Tons of drugs at comic con tho.
