Former Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins Killed this morning.

Saw this kid play his final game for the buckeyes at the Rose bowl. He had a great season. What a terrible tragedy.

Well yeah, I can't know, but I assume that getting hit by a dump truck at highway speeds would make it quick.

Anyone see any other info on what happened, like why he was walking on the expressway, how he didn't see a dump truck coming, etc?
 
A witness called 911 at 6:31 am. This story really bothered me because it didn't make sense, but if this eyewitness account is true -- i'm guess the toxicology report will find a cocktail of drugs in his system. Just sad, he was so young.

A man in Florida claims he saw Dwayne Haskins walking in the middle of a highway right before the NFL player's death ... and says he was so concerned at the sight, he called 911 in an attempt to get help.

Chris Stanley told NBC 6 South Florida this week that after he dropped his daughter off at the airport in Fort Lauderdale, he was traveling on I-595 when cars -- including a "tractor-trailer" type vehicle -- started to veer into his lane from the right.

Stanley says he then noticed a man he believes to be Haskins start walking into the road with his arms partially raised ... and immediately became worried that a car would crash into him.

The outlet says the witness called 911 for assistance at 6:31 AM ... shortly before the crash was reported to authorities.

No doubt there was either drugs/alcohol or undiagnosed or unmedicated major mental issues. So freaking sad for all involved. Can you imagine being the dump truck driver or a witness to that? nightmare.

The Florida Highway Patrol has released a crash report and 911 calls related to the Steelers quarterback's death earlier this month.
