It took me years to get lab manager to realize paying lab techs making 30+ dollars an hour to stuff tubes/caps and other blood/urine collection supplies into a bag was waste of time and we should hire student workers to do that.

Exactly.

But don't get me wrong... if you want to overpay me to do bullshit work, fine, but I'm actually paid to get productive shit done and this bullshit work then needs to be done in my free time. So if you'd like me to block off my afternoon every Friday and not take client calls or do any real work, lets do that.

But that never happens and I'm stuck doing T&E bullshit on Sunday evening so I don't get nag emails on Monday.

When I have court or mediation I wear a suit coat with sweatpants on the bottom. It’s glorious. I’m going to be so pissed when I have to go back to real work clothes.
