Ana de Armas, who has previously played agents/spies in three consecutive years in No Time to Die (2021), The Gray Man (2022), and Ghosted (2023), will star as the title character in this John Wick spinoff, originally titled John Wick Presents: Ballerina, and later renamed to From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.

Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick will reprise their roles from the main series.

The film is directed by Len Wiseman and slated for release on Friday, June 6, 2025.

I just watched John Wick 4 that was streaming and realized I'm John Wicked out.

If this is more of the same then yawn.

Box office flop

Haven’t seen it yet. the review embargo stopped me from seeing it opening night and the reviews haven’t been anything to make me rush out and view it. Might check it out this weekend if I get some time.

Delays, reshoots, loser director, review embargo. None of those helped opening weekend.

The Continental tv show was a flop too. John Wick extended universe not looking great. I would have been fine with the series ending after 4. Now we will probably watch it be milked until the last drop while quality dives and our perception sours.

Ana is extremely hot though, so I'm definitely in for this one.

From the reviews I'm seeing the complaint is a lack of plot. The only plot the first 4 had were the wifes death and the dog dying. After that there wasn't much plot either.

I'll give it a fair shake

Ana de Armas is truly an h compelling screen presence. The movie takes very long to get going given that we already have a well-laden universe. Actress isn’t up to the physical feats. The plot is pretty thin, and it isn’t cohesive even given that, double-whammy.
But I have to say that it got better as it went along, and those set pieces got better and better to the point of awesome.
