I haven’t been following this at all. Any news on the OU v OKST series?

Have not heard a thing.
I think the SEC needs to determine if everyone plays 9 conference games or 8.
That might have something to do with it.

I thought that the Cowboy faithful were all butt hurt and didn't want anything to do with it.

For me, I can take it or leave it.
I think it's the most lopsided Conference Series there is.

still should be played even if lopsided.. UGA plays GT every year right?

cfb ooc scheduling is insane.

Oklahoma State has a fairly full OOC schedule slate until 2030. They don't have room for their little brother in Norman.

Don't care.
When you have kicked someone's ass 90 times, it just doesn't mean anything anymore.

I'm looking forward to more new stuff.

Shouldn't matter ... going to 9 will not make UGA/GaYech, UF/FSU, UK/UL, Clemson/USCjr go away.

I Dont Morgan Freeman GIF

Kinda feel like @outofyourmind, there really isn't much reason to preserve this "rivalry."

I would think Boone State might be cool with never playing it again

Right
I'm thinking 4 dates to fill would be easier than having 3 dates to fill, mainly because I think OSU doesn't really want to work it out.

If it's OOC anyway, I'd rather play Nebraska every year.

OU will avoid it like the plague and they should IMO. That’s not a shot at Okie State but what would OU have to gain from giving an in state school exposure from playing a SEC team as far as any potential recruits that both schools may want and why risk taking a loss from a jacked up team that’s playing their super bowl every year? Wins are going to be a lot tougher for OU as it is, why take unnecessary risks when they don’t have to?

I think you would make that happen, along with the other neb fans in here but the ADs will not

It will go through 2025 because the squats can't pay the exit fee before their contract expires. Personally if they come up with the exit fee that's fine but if I'm the future Big 12 commissioner the conference doesn't negotiate a buyout so if they do and get out early I'm pissed at it.

Beyond that it's about money. If the SEC plays hardball and says it's a 2 for 1 I'd walk away. But if it's something that brings value to my school then I have no problem playing it. I mean hell they have a new coach so maybe they hired another Blake so if we get a chance to kick their ass for 4-5 years before they puss out I'm good with it. If they hired another Reilly it's not that different than the past few years and we get paid more so not really much to lose there if they are open to not being dicks about continuing it.

SEC won't have any decision in the process other than working to free up Oklahoma's week for a non-conference game. This will all come down to OU and Oklahoma State.

OU will not need to keep Bedlam when they have just as good or in many cases better schools to play in the SEC. (Or just pick up other non-conference games without so much drama). OSU does need Bedlam even if it is a hard thing for them to accept. The only thing that might keep Bedlam alive is tradition and I'm not sure "tradition" means as much as it used to mean in the past.
