It could be, but seems like a lot to go report a rape like that on a public figure when it will most definitely get blown up.

He’s an outside linebacker and was a beast. Former 5 star, was a potential first round draft pick.
But, our depth at linebacker is ridiculous right now, so it won’t have too big of an impact on the defense as a whole

I tend to agree. He hasn’t been arrested yet. If it turns out he did it, lock his ass up and throw away the key, but it’s so easy to ruin someone’s life with a false accusation these days.
If I read it right, it supposedly happened between midnight and 7 AM the day before the Cocktail Party. If he’s innocent, he should have some alibis

Sounds to me like he was going to town on her and then she finally sobered up enough to realize what was happening and that's when the $hit the fan. If he kept going, that was rape. If he stopped, there could still be at least a problem with sexual assault. Either way he's hit. Moral of the story: Don't pork drunks. A guy knows if a woman's drunk on her ass or whether she's just got the giggles. Drunks or people who are high as a kite are unstable......it's not worth it.
