- He's done ... will never play at UGA again. Now that he has been charged, this will be ongoing for a year or more.
- They are following very specific guidelines that apply to all UGA students ... he is suspended from all activities as any student would be. UGA and others have learned from the inaction of LSU/Baylor/Vandy that doing nothing isn't an option.
- He was projected 1st round NFL selection ... that's gone. If he is cleared in the next year or so, he can go to the NFL, but he'll have to earn the millions with a second contract.
- It would be a lie to say we won't miss him ... he was going to be a first rounder. That said, we play nickel about 70% of the time, and when we play nickel we only have one rush end in. Our other rush end was the no. 1 5* in his class in 2019, Nolen Smith, and he is really playing well. We have several other guys who will fill in well, if not as well as AA was playing.
- Our D isn't reliant on one single player. We regularly rotate 22 players or more on D, and even our best players rarely take over 40% of the snaps. It's why some players leave who want to put up better numbers.
We'll be fine ... per an article that came out in The Athletic today, UGA's D has the following in the top 50 draftees:
9. *Travon Walker, DL, Georgia (6-5, 275)
Who will be the highest-drafted player next April from Georgia’s daunting defense? Jordan Davis? Nakobe Dean? Adam Anderson? Don’t be surprised if Walker takes home that distinction even though he doesn’t receive the same attention. The former five-star has the size, length and power of a traditional defensive end, but he has the fluid movement skills of a linebacker and continues to get better and better.
13. Jordan Davis, NT, Georgia (6-6, 360)
Another Georgia defender who has taken a big jump up the draft board, Davis has been a dominant run defender and played with improved consistency. He is stout and powerful to discard blockers in the run game while showing impressive range for a man his size. He has averaged only 22.8 snaps per game as a senior (down from 32.9 last season), which has helped improve his snap-to-snap energy, but is something to be considered when determining his draft value.
14. *Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia (6-0, 225)
Dean was on the radar before the season, but he has taken his game to another level as the heartbeat of the Bulldogs defense. An athletic pursuit player, he is quick to key, read and flow with the speed to knife through gaps as a blitzer or chase down plays on the perimeter. The coaches also speak highly of his football character and preparation skills.
36. *Lewis Cine, DS, Georgia (6-1, 200)
I was really impressed with Cine’s 2020 film, but have been even more impressed with his play this season. He has terrific field range and drives downhill like he is shot out of a cannon to create physical collisions. Cine is a starting free safety in the NFL.
We are very likely to have at least 8 or 9 of our D drafted, most in the first 3 rounds.

Anderson has denied the allegations “in the strongest possible terms” and could compete for a spot in the first round if he is cleared of any wrongdoing.
