Utah State's made a nice turnaround from being a perennial doormat. They've gone from missing a bowl in thirteen consecutive seasons to nine bowls in eleven seasons (and four 10+ win seasons). Logan Bonner was a nice pickup.

I realize #11 Utah has three losses, whereas #'s 10 Michigan State, 9 Oklahoma State, and 8 Ole Miss each have only two losses... but I would put Utah above all three as the #8 team.

Whether 11 or 8, Utah still gets the Rose Bowl this year... but hypothetically, if this current season had an 8 team playoff, IMO Utah should be ranked 8 and would deserve a playoff spot.
