I started going to the gym again about a month ago after taking a few months off when the young un was born.

Power cleans have always been my favorite lift, but since I started back, when I do the curl and squat part, it sends a sharp pain in my inner left elbow. Elbow has never given me problems before and no other lift seems to be a problem, but with the way it is, I’m worried I might left go of the bar with my left hand and crush my foot

So, I need something else to replace them. It sucks, but is what it is

is the pain feel like it's a tendon? sounds like tennis elbow.

I’ve never had elbow issues before, I don’t really know. No other lift causes any kind of discomfort, I don’t know what it is. Unless it becomes an issue for other things, I’m gonna leave it be

I'd probably put a sleeve on it and keep to lower weight with your lifts until you feel more confident...can probably still do power cleans, just don't push it

@RobBase and @Deep Dish Pizza Goat are likely your best bets for getting ideas for other lifts...I never got into power cleans.

Exercise bands.

Honestly rest that muscle movement.

I was having problems with my delts and traps for no reason last year during back and shoulder day, shoulder presses. Took a month off, tried again, it came back. Took three months off, it’s been good to go since. Put another shoulder pull in there to compensate.

Did nothing to have this happen (no hockey/lifting injuries etc.) but the rest eventually just worked.

Baby mama, not wife. I have no intentions of getting married

I still do my other lifts without issue
Welcome to the club. This is just the start of it my good man. Some others on here have already suggested resting that muscle group or taking a break from that movement which is good advice. I used to get some tendonitis in one of my wrists and only really felt it doing incline presses, everything else was not a problem. So there must be something to that specific action. It happens to all of us. Listen to your body and give it some rest.

Eases up on your wanking, or at least switch hands.
