Got Tricked Into Buying A Monthly Car Wash Membership Today

Tried a new car wash today. Chose the $15 middle option with the tire shine.

Kid running the wash tells me I can get unlimited washes for the rest of the month for the same price!

My brain freezes. $15 for one wash or $15 for unlimited washed until the end of the month?? Surely there is no catch - sign me up!

Feel great for a good 2 minutes thinking of what a good deal I just landed as this kid runs my card.

He returns and puts a sticker on my windshield for some reason.

Tells me this will renew on the 8th of every month for $28 and to have a great day!

The good news is I can wash my car up to 2 times a day everyday! (Because that’s normal).

So now I’m paying $28 a month to wash my car.

Call their bluff. Go there twice a day every day. Make them cancel your membership.

Been paying for this "deal" for over a year now, I think (after cancelling for a year or so). Except here in Commifornia, it's something like $39/month (I think it might be higher, but I can't be bothered to check rn).

I think I've gone twice in the last year. And it wasn't even my free monthly full cleaning, just the drive through quickie. I fuggin' hate myself.

For $28 a month I’m going through that thing everyday even in a thunderstorm if I have to just to feel like I’m not a total idiot.

There’s one of those places not a quarter mile from my office. I could easily get at least one a day on my way in with nearly no line.

I just don't wash my truck enough. Out here I can go a couple months with just doing my windows.

If I lived where it showed, it would seem like a good regular thing to do to get salt out from everywhere. But is the car wash open in Southern Canada in the winter months?
