Gruden lawsuit

This will force a settlement if upheld on appeal. The NFL wanted this to go to arbitration so it would stay private. If it’s going to be a trial the nfl won’t want all this stuff to come out. They will pay.

Unless Gruden doesn't agree to a settlement.

Maybe his goal isn't money, maybe it's bringing down the NFL powers Goodell and owners alike.

Haven’t followed this at all but what was the reasoning behind not arbitration. Those clauses are usually pretty strong.

Exposing sensitive emails to get rid of a coach is a dispicable act and Goodell is capable of this.

I didn’t hear the actual arguments. I agree that those clauses are generally very strong. Will be interesting to see what happens on appeal.

Not a lawyer, but maybe Gruden declined arbitration as he's no longer under the thumb of the shield.
