Movie Halloween 2: Halloween Kills (2021)

"Next Halloween" promo:

Still need to see the 2018 reboot.

The Rob Zombie Halloween movies were my favorite even though they were largely looked down upon by the masses.

It's pretty good. I thought really highly of it from the first watch, but found a lot of holes on a second viewing. Still good though.

That's because they are awful.

But you like what you like I guess.

I am excited for this and saw the most recent trailer annnnd I am kind of worried they showed too much in the trailer. I am going to avoid watching any subsequent trailers or anything about it so as to not ruin it when I go see it once released.

The first Rob Zombie Halloween I'll give credit for trying to pay homage to the original while doing its own thing.

The second one was a gigantic mess that only got weirder as the movie went on (but not in a good way).

The first time I saw the Rob Zombie one I thought it was ok, after that I disliked it very much lol.

Being perfectly honest, I don't remember Zombies Halloween 2.

Final trailer:

Less humor, just as brutal.

8/10.

the most i remember of halloween 2 is he turned Loomis into a PR seeking jagoff trying to hock his book.

i don't recall much humor in the first one aside from the room full of the dummies. this one was chock full of unintentional humor.

so, it's a movie that is taking place right after the conclusion of the last one, yet they essentially start off with 25 minutes of filler. I appreciate they brought back characters from the original. was crazy how dumb they were, though. let's hunt this supernatural like being. I'll bring a bat... maybe a pillowcase full or bricks will work... if nothing else, at least I now know the empire recruited their storm troopers from Haddonfield, as everyone with a gun had impeccable accuracy.

also, when did michael get so cutesy with his staging his kills? that evil dies tonight shit was so corny.

They don't know that he's supernatural. Just that he's a bad mofo.

okay, so he's just a bad mofo in his 60s... i know the news originally said something like 4 people died, at some point they would have learned about all the responders dying. the series never really delves into the supernatural aspect other than he's just pure evil. but again, wouldn't you want something better than a bat that's been hanging up in a bar forever? and again, everyone with a gun was terrible at every turn. sheriff in his flashback missing him at point blank range and then we learn at the end of the movie also stopped loomis from shooting him. crazy lady in the car shooting out the windows when guy was clearly on top of the car. lady then shooting at the car with no target in mind other than shooting only to end up shooting herself, which was hilarious. then grandaughter just shooting at a pumpkin in a closet (because sure, that makes sense). feel like they've been phoning this in. on the plus said they said they'd like to bring danielle harris in if they make a third.

Well, they're definitely making a 3rd. Titled "Halloween Ends".
