I always feel weird saying “Happy” Memorial Day. Maybe it’s just the way I was raised. It had more reverence having a Vet for a parent.

I will say it’s a time to remember the fallen, and recognize the Vets, as they could have known/could have been the fallen just as well.

To all the Vets here, or part of families that experienced the loss of someone.....you are seen on this day. It is recognized....and what you did, or had happen to you meant something.

Members of the U.S. military visited Arlington Cemetery on Thursday (5/27). They placed American flags in front of the tombstones in observance of Memorial Day.

My dad flew jets during the Vietnam war and knows many of his fellow airmen that died during the conflict. He is my hero.
