Hey, kid

@steelerssb

WTH is going on at Northwestern Memorial Hospital?

Been trying to keep up with this on Twitter.

Sounds like a guy pissed off about being overcharged for something and took a nurse hostage, but all-clear now without anyone getting hurt. I don't think anyone's been apprehended either (they said it got called in on a landline) and possible this was a hoax.

Wasnt there a movie about something like this? Denzel Washington has a kid who needs some sort of expensive treatment to save his life and insurance wont pay, so he takes the hospital hostage...or something?

John Q,

One of my favorite Denzel movies. I rank it just behind The Book of Eli

Sounds like the whole thing ended up being fake

Came to mind right away for me. A very underrated Denzel movie. Of course the role was a ground ball for him. Just let the man cook.

Ask your doctor the price in advance. If he can't or won't tell you, turn down the procedure or test. You don't have to say yes.
@Blackshirts BLVD

What? Do you think that the doctor can force you to have a procedure or test done? Medical care is like all economic goods. If the price of the goods doesn't meet a resistance level, the price will increase until it does meet one.

Just say no.

I think it's a cuck move to think its simply the market when these same companies can offer the same procedures and medicines at significantly less cost, but when it comes to Americans, you hike the prices.

Because Americans have the means and the inability to say no.
