Just get Lysol and spray the entire locker room their commercials say it cleans 99.9% of viruses including Covid. We have spray bottles that can kill it on surfaces now, vaccines, boosters, pills, and we are still ruining things due to someone testing positive. Ridiculous

Sponsors and host cities/stadiums need to somehow get involved. Penalize these stupid ass teams for backing out. Payback every dime for concessions, workers, security, etc.

If I traveled to a bowl game and it canceled a day or hours before kickoff I would be livid. Imagine buying two tickets, flight, hotel, only to get there and have it be canceled. Absolutely trash.

Game should go down as a forfeit to the team who backs out, team should be fined. I’d even go to say that you only get 1 “Covid opt out per year” if you have more than 1 opt out you forfeit your entire season and fined for each forfeit game.

By next year you’d like to hope this whole Covid crap is over, but there’s a chance it won’t because 5 new variants will be out by then. So start putting rules in place to prevent this stuff.

Joel Klatt was tweeting about the stupidity of all this last night. Different tone now from the blue check marks. Two years ago they were begging the very own sport they covered to be canceled due to COVID, now they are realizing how dumb all this is.

I hope some NC State fan goes on Wikipedia and gives this game a score of like 45-10 and writes up about the beatdown the Wolfpack gave the Bruins. So 5 years from now when we dont remember this game's existence we can read about the Wolfpack blow out as opposed to the game being forfeited
 
NC state should just stay in Cali til all the bowl games are done in case if any more teams drop they can swing over to that game instead.
 
How anyone could (with a straight face) count a game that WASN'T played, as a win, shows what's wrong with the system. "YAY!!! We won by a forfeit!! Let's burn our city down while celebrating this great win!"

Sounds more along the lines of a "participation trophy" type of thing.

I just don't get how anyone could celebrate a forfeit as a win and feel good about it. Should always require an asterisk beside this type of "win".

Not sure anyone is feeling good about the NC State situation besides maybe the coach because he now gets a bonus for the "win". Otherwise pretty crappy situation for NC State.

But get ready, the playoffs very well could experience this. We may have a national champion who didnt play a game.
 
Good on NCST & Coach Dave. It's not their fault the game got axed. Fuck UCLA & fuck Chip Kelly.

NCAA = No clue at all.
