Holy hell!!!!!

I'll have my 30th in 5 years, class of 2000 here. Currently working hard on cultivating a certain look to impress everyone with, once they set eyes on me after all these years

I would go but doubt the people I would like to see would be there.
I love my high school reunions, my class typically does an informal one every 5 years and bigger one every 10. It’s always a blast plus my wife graduated in the same class so I’m not babysitting or introducing anyone.

Heck my younger daughter’s school carpool growing up had 5 kids in it and of those kids 5 of the parents were also in our graduating class, was the class above us and 1 was two classes behind us. Only 3 of the parents didn’t go to our highschool.

We have a bachelor party trip in May for one of my classmates and there are 8 from our class that have confirmed.

It’s always great to see everyone.

I hated my graduating class in high school. When I was a junior I hung out with the seniors and when I was a senior, I hung out with the juniors. My class, unlike the one prior and the one after, were a bunch of boring assholes. No one in my graduating class really liked to party. Bunch of "goodie two shoes" that scoffed at drinking and drugs....wtf?!?! I was into experimenting with mind altering substances back then.

I still am into this, but I was back then too.

I did most of my time with the class below me as well. My own was full of the "in crowd" types that werent very fun and the class below me had a large group of kids not quite a year younger than me that liked to go fishing, hunting, etc on weekends. In such a small town with a true blackwater river just down the road, it was a no brainer.

I've never been invited to any high school reunion and wouldn't go if I was. I didn't stay in contact with anyone from high school and never cared to. To me, high school was a necessary evil to get what I wanted; and what I wanted was an impactful career. If I could've skipped high school entirely to start developing a career hands-on at 14 I would've.
I still talk to the select few from HS that I want to, but didn't go to 10 or 20th reunion. Don't expect to go to any future ones either. I was pretty popular in HS, well liked and adjusted, just don't care to keep in touch with anyone I was basically forced to interact with for 13 years.

This year will be 30 for me. Not sure if they'll have one or not. They forgot the 20th and then had a big one for 21st, but I had something going on and didn't make it.

I'd probably go to 30 if my schedule allowed. I enjoy seeing people I've known since I was young, even if I wasn't great friends with them. Just something about that commonality that I find comforting.

But, I live in an area/school district that is a lot like what @Wild Turkey described - a lot of the kids I went to high school with now have kids in the school district and I see them pretty often.

What I find is that you nearly always end up connecting with someone you weren’t expecting to and that is cool.

It’s interesting to hear people tell you their respective on stuff now that we have some wisdom and years behind us. It’s crazy how things you don’t even remember impacted others in positive ways.

They didn’t force you into an adult education program after the first five years?

So, DEI comes here for the cage matches…

I love my high school reunions,

It’s always great to see everyone.

Same. I don’t do social media so it’s nice catching up w friends I grew up with.

It’s kind of cool being the guy who just pops up out of nowhere and nobody has seen or heard from you in forever then when it’s over you slip back into the shadows until the next time.

Always a bit sad finding out who died tho. 🪦

We don’t have that many deaths considering but we didn’t grow up in an area where it was common to drug overdose and go to jail either.
