@Across The Field I known you're low on FSU, but I don't think 12 is really justifiable.

Just don't really get Oregon State, Duke and UNC ahead is all.
Oregon State has two good wins as opposed to FSU's one, and the narrow loss at Wazzou is nowhere near as bad as narrowly escaping lowly BC.
Duke has a close loss to what is looking like a very good ND team and looked much better against Clemson.
UNC is also unbeaten and I think they're a more complete team.

FSU looked great week 1 against an LSU team that I think is alright but is nowhere near as good as others thought. They looked extremely shaky vs. a mediocre Clemson team, downright abysmal against BC, and let crappy VT make that a 5 point game in the second half before finally pulling away. I'm just not high on FSU but they have Duke this weekend so we'll see. That also depends on how healthy Riley Leonard is.

LSU/Utah and Clemson/UCLA are about as even as it gets IMO. And FSU had to play both away from home. I'm just not sure what the big difference is between UCLA and Clemson? From a power rating and resume standpoint, they are very similar. I don't think, based on performance, you can call UCLA good and Clemson mediocre.

I think Duke is good, but they got Clemson at home and don't have a secondary win like LSU(who admittedly, is just good and not great) Plus they haven't even played a true road game against a P5 team yet. I personally think FSU will roll them pretty good this weekend.

That's fine if you think UNC is a more complete team, they did almost lose at home to App State who is basically as good as BC though.

Almost every team has had its struggles. OSU was only up 10 on IU mid-way through the 3rd quarter and were up 3 on MD at the start of the 4th quarter at home.

I dunno about that. The LSU game was in Orlando and the one last year was in New Orleans.

Not really a true neutral site game imo.

Agreed not a true neutral site. I saw reports it was probably 70/30 in favor of FSU fans from people tweeting about it. But still it's 4 hours from campus, so it definitely isn't a home game either.

Man, who would have ever predicted we would be talking Duke football in comparison to quality of games won, beating Clemson, and maybe giving Florida State a fight?

App State always gives P5 teams trouble. Ask Tennessee, Penn State, Wake Forest, UNC, UGA, and especially Michigan and Texas A&M

Yeah, but this App State team isn't any good. Worst team since they joined FBS.

Clemson's best game so far is a close loss to FSU. Otherwise they were railed by Duke and most recently, barely got by WF. UCLA has a close loss at Utah and a 12-point loss at Oregon State. The only reason you'd think Clemson is on par with them is because of what Clemson has done before 2021.

We'll see about Duke. If Leonard is out, FSU probably wins comfortably, and even if he plays he's still banged up. It's too bad, I think they could easily play with FSU with Leonard but that's the breaks sometimes. If they win handily I'll obviously move them ahead. Also no, BC is nowhere near App State's level. App has lost in OT to UNC, and has a close loss to 5-2 Wyoming and a close loss to 3-3 CCU. BC barely escaped FCS Holy Cross and lost to a bad UNI team. App is also well ahead of BC in the efficiency rankings that I know you like.

OSU's "struggles" in two games that they won by 20 each do not even remotely compare to FSU barely escaping against BC by 2.

That's obviously not the case. Clemson has a better SoR, SoS, GC, offensive efficiency and defensive efficiency. Neither have a ranked win, and even according to your rankings have the better losses.

I do think Duke is a good squad, it's a shame Leonard probably won't play, but they've got a loss, and haven't even performed as well in their wins.

My point about BC and App State is both teams are really bad. UNC performed worse against App State IMO than FSU did against BC. They also don't have a ranked win, even according to your own rankings.

Eh I guess. UCLA beat Wazzou, who is better than Clemson's best win, and UCLA hasn't been smoked the way Clemson was vs. Duke and they also have struggled vs a shitty team like WF. UCLA just looks better right now.

Yep Leonard being out really sucks for them. I hope he's at least able to be back by the UNC game.

I don't think App State is "really bad". They have an OT loss and two 3-point losses to solid G5s. BC lost to a bad P5 and barely beat an FCS school. I also don't know what you mean by my "own rankings". I just know BC is awful and has been on a downward spiral for several years while App State has played very strongly vs P5 teams for years while normally winning 9+ games. They're just a better program.
