Crap, I forgot to add the 5-2 teams.

Oh well, I think all the teams I have, at least, deserve to be in "Others Receiving Votes" and teams like Tennessee and Duke will be ranked even though I don't have them.

Is this the actual BCS computer rankings at the moment or do you have some sort of system?

He has a system. I've asked him before about it but can't remember how it works. Think the actual bcs would have Michigan Ohio State Georgia Florida State 1,2,3,4

That's basically what I figured.

As close as the games were, one would think Washington/Oregon and Oklahoma/Texas would be right next to each other in the rankings. Maybe I saw different games.
Agreed, I like them being stacked in the 5-8 spots like in the AP. I'm still confused how Tennessee is ranked though.

Tennessee is all over the map in terms of rankings:

Colley - 37
Sagarin - 14
Massey - 16
Wolfe - 36
Billingsley - 23
AP - 21
Coaches - 20

Averaging out the CPU's they are just outside the top 25. The human polls are largely keeping them ranked in this version of the BCS. I don't have them ranked either. No good wins, looked bad against UF. You could argue they are a top 25 team based on a power ranking standpoint, but if so it's barely. My guess is they lose to UK this weekend.

Holy hell Sagarin and Massey, how does that work? Did they just watch the first half vs Bama and then turn the channel and not look at box scores? I hope they lose to UK but that's not a good team either.

It includes win percentage so far out of playing 12 games. So, 12 possible wins (undefeated teams so far) out of 12 possible games of course is 100%, 9 wins (3 loss teams so far) out of 12 possible games is 75% and so on. It also includes an average (from different sites) of opponents' winning percentage and opponents' opponents' winning percentage where OW% is weighted a little more.

In relation to the BCS rankings, I think 1/3 or 2/3 was the AP poll and Coaches or something like that where voters are included. Mine does not include any voters.

I know it isn't perfect by any stretch, but I also feel that blue blood and helmet status don't factor in either. Basically, keep winning and playing at least a few "somebody's", and the team should be good. Also, something I just enjoy doing to see where they fall, and how close the teams are to the Hoopla rankings and others.

If the other teams they faced are looked at Washington beat Oregon (6-1). Oregon's best win is who? Two teams that are 4-3. I know Washington looked like crap last week against whoever that was, but it was a win. Now, Oregon wins some of these tests coming up, they will rise of course.

And why is Texas below Bama? Head to head matters............except when it doesn't?

That's the one good thing about a committee. H2H will be applied when all is equal. CPU's can't distinguish that.
