HooplaNation's Week 10 Discussion Thread

It feels so wrong to be ranked at all let alone as high as people have us. I’ve been so abused the past couple years.
 
Surprised to see people ranking Iowa ahead of Wisky, UK ahead of MS St. & having UTSA that high.

I believe I don't have any 3-loss team ranked. Iowa still has a few decent wins too. I don't have UK or Miss St ranked.

I get it. And the score is closer than it actually was. But I also don't just base it off one week either. I would still say Iowa has had a better season so far.

Rank em like you want. I was just commenting on how you exclude all 3 loss teams. You have had a decent year, for Iowa :dhd:

I agree and I can’t get my head around WF. Problem is you kinda have to rank them.

This was KY really first bad game so you have to give them some rope. If they blow another then they are down.

My suspicion is Ole Miss is close to being done because their injuries are piling up at a rate that makes it almost impossible for them to play at a high level.

UK is 6-2 and one of those losses is to Alabama. Mississippi State is 5-3 and lost to Memphis. Mississippi State shouldn't be ranked at all.

Entire resume. Head to head definitely matters a lot, but isn't the end all be all, otherwise A&M should be ranked ahead of Bama.

WINS:
4-4 in the MAC
2-6 in the PAC
3-5 in the MWAC
7-1 in the SEC
4-4 in the SEC
4-4 in the SEC
24-24

LOSSES:
5-3 in the SEC
5-3 in the SEC
10-6

...does this team deserve to be ranked ahead of ANY 1-loss P5 teams?

They play Arkansas this weekend so it will work itself out.

They've lost their last 2 and neither one was close. And it was MSST who lost to Bama. UK lost to UGA.

UK's wins:

Vs (4-4) ULM by 35
Vs (4-4) Mizzou by 7
Vs FCS Chattanooga by 5
@ (4-4) SCar by 6
Vs (4-4) UF by 7
Vs (4-4) LSU by 21

hmm, this is interesting

UK technically doesn't have a bad loss, but they don't have any good wins

Miss State has 2 good wins, but two bad losses

and tbh, i made that post before i realized how bad the bottom half of the Top 25 was. Mississippi State should be ranked and I have zero issue if they are ranked over Kentucky.
