Man I loved Ohio State and Georgia's win yesterday but after watching Tennessee, I might be sold now. The way Tennessee played yesterday, they could have probably beaten both. We will see this upcoming Saturday.

It seems like these 3 teams and Alabama are the best teams. Michigan and TCU are also waiting in the wings. TCU seems to have something special going on as well. I moved them ahead of Clemson.

A close slug-fest with a mediocre team?

I wasn't impressed and it's becoming more and more difficult to keep ranking this team in the top ten in the nation.

They're going down.

Penn State is still a good team and it was a tough road environment.

Granted, I think the final score is misleading because the Penn State QB just imploded in the second half and gave the game away with stupid plays and turnovers.

On my phone, out of town so it is hard to put an honest list of 25 together, but I can do a top 10.

1. Georgia (staying put unless someone beats them).
2. ohio state (damn I hate this team, and damn they are good).
3. Tennessee (I would like to put them at two, but the truth is coming to them and Georgia - Game of the year - so far)
4. Clemson (laying in wait)
5. Michigan (they are doing well, but they can’t afford a letdown game, and they better be sharp for ohio state).
6. Alabama (still a dynasty … anyone who is dumb enough to overlook them will pay).
7. TCU (all they do is win, that is all you ever need to do).
8. Oregon (unfortunate to play Georgia the first game … a good team that has to fight through the rest of the PAC)
9. Ole Miss (a good battle to prove themselves against Alabama ahead)
10. Illinois (WHAT!!! should have an easy time against a soon to be heavily suspended Sparty).

I am starting to think TCU is not getting enough love. I put them ahead of Clemson because they have just looked far more impressive if you consider their strength of schedule.

Clemson's SOS took a major hit with Wake and Syracuse getting destroyed this past Saturday. Clemson "survived" both of those matchups.

Any other team with that resume would be #7 in the nation.
No one understands the hate of the ohio state buckeyes more than I do, but convincing victories over a #5 rated Notre Dame and a #13 rated Penn State … tells me different . I wouldn’t mind Michigan putting an ass whoopin’ on them.

Notre Dame and Penn State are big name wins against decent teams. Decent at best.

Michigan will devastate them. That game will be a turning point and Ohio State will be exposed.

Yeah, at this point the "Ohio State hasn't played anyone" argument doesn't hold water. Ohio State hasn't played a team with an elite offense yet that can challenge their defense, I would agree with that. However, Ohio State has played some good opponents and deserves the hype.

I hope you guys are right … but Michigan has played a softer schedule. The only time Michigan was beat this year is when 10 Sparties had to jump on one Wolverine.

Actually, I was arguing Ohio State has been impressive and you cannot use the "soft" schedule excuse anymore.

I think you guys can match up with them. They look like the better team and it is in Columbus but Michigan plays a little different style of ball and could physically beatup Ohio State if they can get them into that type of game.

Confidence is key as well. Michigan needs to believe they can beat Ohio State.

We still counting preseason rankings?

At the time they played them … I respect any team that plays someone OOC who usually has a good team. Michigan did not … Colorado State, Hawai’i and U Conn are weak opponents. That is why I rated them low. Georgia is an easy #1, until someone beats them.

Not sure how Clemson will be viewed in the CFP rankings in relation to TCU. I know this is the hooplanation rankings discussion. Clemson had to fight and fight to beat Syracuse in Death Valley. Notre Dame took care of Syracuse a lot easier at Syracuse. TCU has beaten all teams they faced, including the Kansas State team that just demolished Oklahoma State. Clemson's best win is #20 Syracuse (Massey Composite). TCU best win is #9 Kansas State (Massey Composite). I think Clemson will get the nod Tuesday night.

Note that KSU starting QB was down in that matchup but TCU still have some solid wins . They still have a good case to be high in a resume based rankings
