I am going to leave Georgia at #1 until they actually lose a game. Going off 1950s rules for football.

I don't think there is any definitive argument to order 1-3 right now. At this point, you could have them in any order and have ways to justify it

I agree. If I was overreacting, I would go with Ohio State but Ohio State hasn't played most of its meaningful games yet.

Top 25 is still probably out of whack at this point. We are still trying to figure out who is good.

*least bad

I am starting to like Clemson some as well now. Ironically, some of the best teams at the end of the season in Championship-level games have been the teams that coasted by in close matchups playing tough defense all year long.

Hate to rile up the Roll On Trojans, but USC hasn’t really looked that good to me.

But neither have some others and somebody has to occupy those spots.

Well... Even I'd have to admit that's true.

Been getting it done, BUT struggling much of the time against average/below average teams. Defense is feast or famine, unfortunately.

IF they can get past the next couple games against scrappy WashSt and @ Utah, it'll look a bit better for SC.

We shall see... :drink:

Meanwhile, I'll just take the wins when I can! :cheer2:

Yeah, sometime I get influenced too much by “style” points.

Kachina trying to take Kentucky down.

Yeah, #1 - #6 or #8, and then it is like putting players in alphabetical order by height. Next week's games might offer a little bit of separation with Florida State at NC State, Utah at UCLA, TCU at Kansas (Gameday making a stop there), Arkansas at Mississippi State, etc.

LSU finally breaks into the AP poll at number 25. Miss. St is ranked 2 spots higher even though LSU has the better record and actually beat the Bulldogs this season! hahaha

I did not put them in my poll … that was a mistake.

this some love here...

Not often you see a team jump 20 spots in a 25 spot poll!!!!

:nonono:

I think I looked at it this way: Both teams are 4-1. Massey, Colley, and Sagarin have Mississippi State's SOS way above LSU's. LSU played an FCS team and Mississippi State has not. Does the AP look at it this way? I doubt it, but maybe some do.
