Auburn has two loses to the number one team in the country and number 8 team in the country and just took out number 17 and you left them out. You have teams in your poll that have terrible loses including your own plus teams that have multiple loses to now UN ranked teams.![]()

Do you really care that much? I care so much that I have UTEP in for 2nd straight week.Auburn has two loses to the number one team in the country and number 8 team in the country and just took out number 17 and you left them out. That’s beyond ridiculous.
I’m not going to lay awake at night worrying about it but making stupid rankings kinda bastardizes your entire process. I would argue @Illustrious Potentate poll should be removed because of his bias for Sunbelt teams.Do you really care that much? I care so much that I have UTEP in for 2nd straight week.
The only Sun Belt team I ranked hasn’t lost a regular season game since 2019 and I ranked them behind CincyI’m not going to lay awake at night worrying about it but making stupid rankings kinda bastardizes your entire process. I don’t know why you put in the work when you’ve compromised the process with bias.
You just complained about 1 team's ranking. Should I have ranked them? Yeah. I missed them. I am sure they are not the only one.I’m not going to lay awake at night worrying about it but making stupid rankings kinda bastardizes your entire process. Cincy is going to start fading in mine. That schedule is just too soft. I think the committee will follow my lead.
That ND road win is huge here. You can't fault them for being AAC in a really down year for the conference but they have road wins over ND and Indiana. Indiana isn't anything special but ND is a blue blood with a legit chance to go 11-1. They do get SMU later in the year and have road trips to Navy and Tulane.
Honestly if you think about it, their schedule isn't that different than Clemson last year. Weak conference with a small challenge or two but nothing like the Big 10 East this year. The difference is Notre Dame won round one against Clemson (without Lawrence which was a major asterisk) and owned them in the CCG. They won't get that but the will either have to play Houston or SMU twice. It's not a super hard gauntlet but you could argue their schedule isn't significantly different than anyone outside of the Big 10. Big 10 is legit this year at the top. The SEC has Georgia Bama and maybe Kentucky. After that is anyone really scary in that conference this season. No one in the Pac or ACC is scaring anyone at this point. The Big 12 has two undefeated teams-one dumped their QB and the other is literally a half dozen bounces from being .500.
If you discount one undefeated team for their schedule when they have two road P5 wins, you have to discount the schedule of every team right now. As an Oklahoma State alum if I remember to vote in this week's poll I'm going to homer the shit out of my team but where is our signature win? A road game against a likely 7-5 Texas team where we trailed the entire way? Home against KSU with a backup QB? Cincy beat a ND team that is going to play in a NYD game on the road in a game that wasn't as close as the score. Their schedule is just fine.
Indiana is horrible and Notre Dame is THE lone decent win Cincy has or will have save the CCG (maybe) and even they have some serious question marks. Playing in a P5 stadium even against a middle of the road team compared to most of the G5 spots is night and day difference and much tougher as far as environment. It’s just not the same thing for Cincy as it is for the P5 teams. That ND road win is huge here. I don’t think they deserve it, I don’t think they are even the best team in Ohio TBH much less one of the best in the country.
They can/could beat Navy by 50 but.. Navy is not good this year either.I don't think they're 27 pts better than (1-5) Navy, but we shall see.
You need to see a psychiatrist as I’m worried about your mental health.Indiana is horrible and Notre Dame is THE lone decent win Cincy has or will have save the CCG (maybe) and even they have some serious question marks. Haven't been the highest on Cincy but they're a good team. There's maybe 3-4 teams I would easily bet against Cincy but from #5 - #15 it's really a crapshoot between those teamsCincy is going to start fading in mine. That schedule is just too soft. I think the committee will follow my lead.
If they don't, they'll be going against what they've been preaching and doing in the past.Cincy is going to start fading in mine. That schedule is just too soft. I think the committee will follow my lead.
The only undefeated teams with truly soft schedules, IMO, are Coastal Carolina and UTSA (maybe San Diego State as well but they got a good Air Force team this week).
B1G is interesting as it has 4 top ten teams in B1G East. Will be a fun race. At least two of those will still be in the mix come November. Iowa will also be interesting to watch. If they win out at 11-1 and upset the B1G East team, they are in the playoff.
SEC right now has two really good teams and a bunch of decent-to-average-to-bad teams. Ole Miss is in a sneaky position though where they could finish 11-1 (look at their schedule). I don't see it happening but they are a sleeper. I don't see both Alabama and Georgia making the playoffs because of the lack of top notch SEC schools on their schedule like in years past but the media is pushing hard for Alabama to get in with a mulligan (or two).
Pac12's hopes rest on Oregon. I am not sure if they will win out but I will give them the benefit of the doubt right now.
ACC seems already out but if Pitt and Wake win out and meet in the ACC game, do they have a shot at playoffs?
Big12 runs through Oklahoma. I could see the Big12 getting in (likely Oklahoma).
Looking at all of these facts, Cincinnati is in a pretty good spot to be the first non-Power 5 playoff team. Especially if Notre Dame finishes the season with a high ranking.
Right now, playoff looks like this (not in order):
1. Georgia
2. B1G Champion (going with Ohio State right now)
3. Oklahoma
4. Cincinnati (if Oregon does NOT win out)
Alabama will sneak in there somehow or it won’t be just trees this time. Those bastards are demented.Georgia, Buckeyes, OU and Cincy. That’s how I see this playing out
