How about ND, FSU, Miami and Washington to the B1G... no Oregon

If ND is joining, Stanford is the next team. Then it's either the OU/UW combo or FSU/Miami.

Also tells me that ND ain’t that interested if he has to do that.
 
I don't see FSU to B1G. I think FSU to SEC is inevitable. The rest are pretty likely
 
Miami to the B1G is a good pickup and makes sense. Couple them with GT as partners if FSU is a no.

Gets em in the Miami (FL) and Atlanta (GA) markets and states with good schools and recruiting grounds.

By answering a question? How exactly is that pressuring ND? All he said is there is a handful of schools who'd add value to the B1G. I think you are reading way too much into that.

Both are damn good academic Universities too AND give the B1G a Footprint in SEC territory.

Yea that fits what the BIG tends to want. If they were to get Miami AND FSU ya gotta believe that that would grind the SEC’s gears.
Locked em out of California and 2/3 in Florida.
 
They wouldn't do Miami and FSU, I'm thinking. B1G puts alot of stock in AAU membership and those two aren't. ND is a different creature altogether, so they can get a pass but I don't see either going anywhere except Big12 at some future date.

Plus, has everyone forgotten the ACC GOR?

ND and the West Coast teams make sense, for sure. They even might justify their shares.
 
That tweet leads to a good article:

- Is Warren just blowing hot air about more expansion?
- He still wants AQ for conference champs ... the SEC will fight that, especially if the PAC and B12 remain weak.
- He said AAU membership isn't a requirement - interesting.
- Interesting to see the difference between Sankey and Warren - Sankey more of a "cards to his chest" type of guy, while Warren is far more gregarious.
- Warren has zero fucks to give about anyone else - said he hasn't talked to the PAC commissioner since he shived him - that Alliance was great. Said it's all about business. Kind of hypocritical ... one side of this mouth it's about student-athletes and what's good for them, then it's all business out the other side.

8 schools need to bail for the GoR to be absolved as been discussed here. That’s not impossible here. There are a bunch of schools that seem like they would bail and then UNC would have no choice but to follow if the threat of getting left behind(they won’t) was too big.

I don't think they are. I thought they were before too but I'm not seeing them on the list.

Warren can talk all he wants about AAU not being a requirement but everyone knows he means ND. But maybe Miami still has a shot being a great academic school, being in FL and a large market.

In the article it says Warren didn’t talk about any schools specifically so I have doubts about its accuracy.

Of the ACC schools the only ones mentioned where Miami and FSU? It makes sense from a recruiting standpoint but neither is an AAU school and I find it hard to believe that UNC wouldn’t be a top choice.

If it’s true then that’s good for the SEC because it guarantees we will land UNC and whoever else we want. Problem is there’s no real path with the GOR in the way.

I’ve been thinking about it and I think NBC makes a deal with ND and it’s a long-term deal. This assures them if ND did go B1G at some point they get a piece of it. That also gives ND flexibility to wait it out and no one gets added until they do.

This is smoke and mirrors and the next moves will be in the PAC and B12. The SEC, B1G and ACC will more than likely keep what they’ve got for quite sometime.

I would flip Oregon with Miami in a heartbeat. I'm not sure when some ACC teams are going to get poached, but I still think more Pac12 schools are in line for the b10; it all hinges on what ND chooses to do.

I'm seeing more people reporting on this same list of schools that include (my guess is one guy put this out and everyone else jumping on the bandwagon and we aren't even going to pretend that people are actually doing journalism):

ND
Stanford
Cal
Oregon
Washington
Miami
FSU

I'm thinking this was leaked on purpose for the following reasons:

1. ND is negotiating with NBC and if they sign a big deal that is long-term they will stay independent so I'm betting FSU and Miami were thrown out there to make ND pause and wonder if the ACC is even going to be around. More than likely FSU and Miami were the ACC schools named because they were the biggest names that had officially reached out to the B1G (for example Virginia and UNC would not go through official channels) and so they are safe from a tampering lawsuit standpoint. In other words, these are decoy schools to shake leaves.

2. Stanford and Cal are being mentioned to give some political cover to UCLA and perhaps to get the groups to pressure Newsome to let up. I say this because while Stanford is certainly a possibility (not a homerun by any means but again a nugget for ND) but there is no way in hell they bring in Cal, it's just BS.

3. I think Washington and Oregon were added just add more names, to be honest.

I think this because if you were going to make a list of the Top 2 schools the B1G would target wouldn't they be:

ND
UNC

The next tier would be (note I don't think they are serious about FSU and Miami as neither of those schools fit at all):
Virginia
Stanford
Washington
Oregon

I think there this info was leaked and I think there is an agenda at play.

I'd think the pecking order would be:

1) ND
2) if ND wants assurance that Stanford joins, to be a catalyst for ND joining, that's the next best school.

At this point you're at 18, with 3 west coast schools and ND, who obviously would like travelling to the west coast, so they'd be okay making 2 trips per year out there. Hell they already do it this year.

If you go to 20, I would still take 2 more west coast teams. That's just more west coast inventory to sell. Grabbing a UNC/UVA doesn't get you more games in the west coast.

Imagine something like this:

Michigan at UCLA -- 8:00 Fox
Nebraska at Stanford -- 10:00 FS1
Wisconsin at Cal -- 10:30 FS2/BTN

BTN getting content at 10:00/10:30 is something they've never had before. Being able to have games on BTN at the Noon, 3:30, 7:30, 10:30 slots is great programming. Same for FS1/FS2.
