How do you rank the films from David Fincher?

In my mind one of the top directors not just alive but of all time. Although his last movie I feel was his worst. With how I ranked it his top 7 are all great. Panic Room isn't bad and it isn't until you get to 9 on his list with the Curious Case of Benjamin Button that you start getting to bad movies that he made.

You gotta check out The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It's his most underrated movie by far.

So I watched this over the weekend since it was available on prime. I liked it, but I watch and read a lot of things movie related, so I knew about Martin from the go. I would put this at around 5 or 6 mark. If I had not known about that, I could definitely see it being higher on the list, but I also wish they showed more of the investigating. But I can see why Craig was chosen for Knives Out lol.
 
Gone Girl was fucking retarded.
 
Pretty sure Fight Club and Benjamin Button are the only two I’ve seen

With The Killer since being released I would put it at 8 above Panic Room. Rest of the list seems good still though.

It's good but the The best 3 film run is without a doubt:

Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring
Lord of the Rings The The Two Towers
Lord of the Rings The Return of the King


I think I'd also say Zodiac...The Social Network...The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is as good if not a better run for Fincher.

Denis Villeneuve you can pretty much pick any 3 movie run in his filmography and it's great. He hasn't made a movie that isn't great yet.

Nolan has some good runs. Tarantino's best 3 run would probably be Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight.

Kubrick like Villeneuve has a whole filmography where you can really pick wherever and find a great 3 film run. My favorite 3 film run for him though is probably his last 3. The Shining, Full Metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut.
