I'm too much of a fan to analyze this. The Brewers seemingly have 20% of the team on DL at any given time, have no star level player on offense 2 of the Big 3 pitchers have been crap yet still winning?

In the wake of Peralta/Woodruff struggling, Lauer and Ashby have been really good and they still have a pretty good pen. The lineup may not have any "star level players" but they still have a team OPS+ of 101 and they're 4th in the NL in scoring. Cain and McCutchen have been anemic, but everyone else has an OPS+ at least above 90.

the thing that sticks out at me - is the walks. only 1 everyday batter hitting over .250 but most OBP is over .300

Just read this:

"The Brewers rank seventh in slugging percentage this season, but don't crack the top-half in on-base percentage."

Brewers seem to suck. Every time I bet on them to win they lose. With how many times they've cost me I can't believe they are above .500

This is a really easy question to answer....& the answer is: NL Central.

Champs of 2021 Nothing more
Of way more than a certain upper midwest team who has been to (tabulating.........................................) 1 World Series. Just one?!
