I love my pet

my brother and his wife have a calico named Sheesha, she's actually almost 13 herself (12), and she's the dainty-est cat i've ever met. most folks she doesn't care to be around, but she adores me for some reason, and i always make sure to give her some treats whenever i'm over at their place. she absolutely hates their other cats, won't let them anywhere near her lol. beautiful cat, though.

I wonder if the fact you give her treats every time you're at your brother's either keeps you in her good graces, helped get you into her good graces in the first place, or a little of both.

Calliope would not abide another cat in her house. She's fine with dogs, but another cat??? No.

This is one of my favorite pictures of her. She's what's technically called a pastel or dilute calico/tortie, but I don't like pastels, and there's nothing dilute about her, so I call her a silver calico. My childhood cat and the one I had before Calliope, both calicos, had the traditional calico coloring.

she looks like a lil ham.

Hahaha ... she is!
I'm the only one who gets to see it (unless I capture it in a photograph or on video), but she definitely is.
here's a pic of the cat i was talking about, hanging out in her cat tree (and ONLY her tree, my brother had to get a separate tree for his other 2 cats, she doesn't permit them in this one)

I've been taking allergy shots specifically so I could get a cat for my kids (and wife), and a few weeks back, we started fostering a couple kittens from the local SPCA. They'll be fixed in another few weeks, at which time we'll be able to officially adopt them.

My daughter named the female Buttercup and my son named the male Peanut. After that, I just call them the Reeses twins.

We also have a hedgehog named Bubbles and a few goldfish my son "won" at the fall festival at his school last November. 20200901_072013.jpgFB_IMG_1598733756852.jpg

She's beautiful!
Her facial markings remind me a lot of Guenevere's (my current cat's predecessor), except she was long-haired.

He was a sweet pup. Archie dog is now a chuck of muscle and bunny killing machine.
